At the White House Precision Medicine Initiative Summit in February, we announced our intention to release genomic profiles of pediatric cancers currently maintained as part of our information knowledgebase, FoundationCORE™. Today, we’re proud to fulfill this commitment and provide the cancer research community with a valuable resource that could catalyze innovation for new pediatric anti-cancer therapeutics.
This rich genomic information is now available via a web-based, HIPAA-compliant application.
The data featured within this portal includes de-identified/anonymous, molecular-level pediatric tumor information in a format that can be easily filtered by disease type, patient age and gene. Our goal is to effectively provide the global research community with free and easy access to data from a vast array of tumor types in order to generate hypotheses, validate rare findings and investigate the genomic landscape of rare tumors. Ultimately, we strive to stimulate and accelerate research and development of much needed precision oncology therapies.
At Foundation Medicine, we remain resolute in our mission of putting precision medicine into practice and we stand committed to advancing the field of pediatric drug discovery.
