Senior Vice President, Head of Global Portfolio Strategy
Amy Lin was named Senior Vice President, Head of Global Portfolio Strategy at Foundation Medicine in March 2020. Ms. Lin has an impressive track record of defining effective and thoughtful strategies and mobilizing large cross-functional teams to success. In her role, she oversees enterprise-wide functions across brand and portfolio marketing, corporate and product strategy, market insights and analytics, communications, and life cycle team management, in order to provide the maximum benefit to patients.
Ms. Lin was previously the Vice President of Corporate Strategy where she led the development and oversight of the company's corporate strategy and its alignment across all levels of the organization.
Ms. Lin joined Foundation Medicine in September 2019 from Roche/Genentech, where she most recently served as Head of Strategy & Business Operations in Global Product Strategy for the Oncology business unit. She brings a diverse set of experiences holding product and portfolio marketing roles in the precision medicine space, in addition to numerous roles in strategy including development of the global oncology strategy, disease level strategies, and market access strategies for competitive markets and new therapeutic areas. She also led key initiatives enabling the effective life cycle management and global commercialization of the oncology portfolio.
Prior to her experience in industry, Ms. Lin was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy where she served as a deck officer navigating a cruiser and managed nuclear reactor plants on an aircraft carrier. She earned an MBA from the Sloan School of Management, as well as an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT.
