Dr. Charlotte Ann Brown joined Foundation Medicine in 2017, bringing over 15 years of experience as a life sciences researcher and as a molecular diagnostics laboratory director. Her in-depth experience includes R&D, clinical and scientific affairs, program management, and strategic marketing.
Previously Dr. Brown was the Director of US operations at Almac Diagnostics in Durham, NC, from 2015 to 2017. Her extensive program management experience includes positions at Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) in Durham, where she worked from 2007 to 2015. She also managed molecular diagnostic laboratories at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, and Fairview Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.
Dr. Brown received her BSc with honors from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. She received her MSc from Ohio State University and her PhD from the University of Toronto. Dr. Brown also served as a postdoctoral fellow in molecular genetics at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
