Rita Kale

Rita Kale serves as Chief Financial Officer at Foundation Medicine. With over two decades of global healthcare industry experience, she brings with her expertise in finance, strategic planning, people development, and collaborative leadership.

In her role as CFO, Ms. Kale leads the Finance and Corporate Management teams, providing overall direction and leadership to the corporate functions, which include accounting and tax, billing and reimbursement, financial planning and analysis, corporate development, project management and procurement.

Prior to joining Foundation Medicine, Ms. Kale served in roles of increasing global responsibility at the Roche Group. Since starting her career with Roche Australia in 2000, Ms. Kale has held key leadership roles in the United States, India, South Africa, Switzerland and Singapore.  Most recently she served as Head of Finance for Roche Pharmaceuticals Asia Pacific where she helped countries achieve strategic business objectives.

In 2011, Ms. Kale took time away from Roche to run her own startup before rejoining Roche Pharmaceuticals in 2014 to lead the Finance teams in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Ms. Kale holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from BMCC Pune, India, and an MBA and Masters in Electronic Commerce Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia.
