Annie Murphy is Chief Commercial Officer at Foundation Medicine. She has a wealth of experience designing high-impact product and engagement strategies across a spectrum of products and partners.
In her current role, Murphy oversees the development and execution of Foundation Medicine’s global clinical commercial strategy. Her team works across the oncology ecosystem to support physicians seeking personalized treatment options for their patients, foster new partnerships, and strengthen customer relationships to expand patient access to evidence-driven treatment decisions.
Since joining Foundation Medicine in 2015, Murphy has held multiple leadership roles across the commercial, global portfolio strategy, and medical functions. She played a key role in the development and launch of FoundationOne®Liquid CDx, the company’s FDA-approved blood-based biomarker test. Murphy was also instrumental in reshaping the medical affairs function and worked closely with leadership to re-design a more customer-centric product development model.
Prior to Foundation Medicine, Murphy held healthcare strategy and market planning roles at Genentech and Charles River Associates. Earlier in her career, she worked as a product manager for ZELTIQ, an associate in leveraged finance for the Bank of Ireland, and an analyst for Citi. Murphy holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College in economics and philosophy and master’s degrees in both business administration and public health from the University of California, Berkeley.
